IVCA Membership
To become and remain a member of the IVCA applicants must:
- Be a registered veterinarian or chiropractor
- Have successfully completed one of the basic IVCA approved educational courses
- Have successfully completed the IVCA certification exam (as of Jan 1st 2012)
- Agree to complete the IVCA CPD requirements
- Agree to adhere to the IVCA code of conduct and standard of proficiency.
- Ensure that their membership fee is paid on time
Benefits of IVCA membership
IVCA membership provides many benefits including:
Referrals
Inclusion on the IVCA register of members and being listed on the IVCA website are great sources of patient referrals. Member’s details are also made available to people contacting the IVCA looking for IVCA members in their area.
Educational And Promotional Material And Merchandise
High quality IVCA patient education and promotional material (e.g. leaflets, PowerPoint presentations are available only to IVCA Members).
Members Only Website Area
IVCA members are able to access the members only area of the IVCA website. This area will include within the near future:
- A discussion room which acts as a general focal point for communication where members can correspond freely with each other sharing views, information and suggestions.
- Information with regards to the latest research projects and opportunities, international and national news, legal issues etc.
- Notification of any urgent business will usually be communicated to members first via the members only website area.
- Suggestions for improvement - The IVCA wants to provide the best possible service for its members. This form gives members the opportunity to say what they want from the IVCA.
Cost of IVCA Membership
There is an initial joining fee of 75 Euros.
The annual membership fee is 75 Euros.
Joining the IVCA
To join the IVCA you must fulfill the membership requirements.
If you fulfill these requirements, please print off and complete the application form and post it to the IVCA along with copies of your:
- Veterinary and/ or chiropractic degree
- Certificate of successful completion from you basic veterinary chiropractic course from your IVCA approved educational course provider
- Certificate of successful completion of the IVCA certification exam (as of Jan 1st 2012)
- Passport details and 2 passport size photos
Failure to include ALL of the above could result in delay in acceptance for membership and inclusion on the IVCA register.

IVCA Membership Renewal
The annual membership fee is due on January (you will receive by mail a corresponding invoice) and is 75 Euros (approximately $90 US and £51).
